| Spring 2008 |

05/08/2008
The Beta Alpha Psi (and Accounting Society) meeting was held in the South Dining Hall. It started at 6 pm. Becker CPA Review did a software demo about the simulation portion of the CPA exam. Two of our alumni with PWC presented next. This was followed by elections of 2008-2009 Accounting Society committee members (Chance Carrico – President; Mike Kelly - Vice President; Bhupinder Kaur – Treasurer; Brittany Bruegel – Secretary). |
04/10/2008:
The Beta Alpha Psi (and Accounting Society) meeting was held in MSR 130. It started at 6 pm. A representative from our University Career Center provided invaluable career advice and information about the forthcoming Fall 2008 Accounting Night Event; attendees learnt about what to wear, how to conduct themselves, etc.. Our alumni from KPMG did a panel presentation, while presenters from Target did a presentation on leadership. |
03/13/2008:
The Beta Alpha Psi (and Accounting Society) meeting was held in the Carol Burke Student Lounge; it started at 6 pm. Attendees learnt about the CPA exam. A presenter from FTB informed attendees on how to apply for government jobs. |

11/26/2007 – 12/07/2007:
Just before finals, Beta Alpha Psi members provided free tutoring to ACC 2110-Financial Accounting and ACC 2130-Managerial Accounting students. |
11/27/2007:
The Beta Alpha Psi (and Accounting Society) meeting was held in the South Dining Hall. It started at 6 pm. Two speakers from FTB gave a presentation about working for the State Government (with particular emphasis on the FTB). Three speakers from Grimblely-Coleman gave a mock interview. |
10/23/2007:
The Beta Alpha Psi (and Accounting Society) meeting was held in the South Dining Hall. It started at 6 pm. Ethics and fraud information was presented by KPMG and Mr. Hobdy (CPA). Dr. Filling provided information about how students can participate in the VITA program. |
09/26/2007:
Beta Alpha Psi members participated in the Accounting Night Event in MSR 130. This event is organized by our Career Center. Firm representatives as well as our own alumni attend this event. |
09/25/2007:
The Beta Alpha Psi (and Accounting Society) meeting was held in the South Dining Hall. It started at 6 pm. Christine Hollister, Director of our Career Center, told students about the valuable services provided by the Career Center, and they can go about signing up for campus job interviews. Other speakers were from Atherton and Foster Farms. |
