The California State Legislature established a fee waiver program for California residents sixty years of age and older to enroll for classes on a space available basis on the CSU campuses. Applicants interested in this program must be admissible as stipulated in Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations and shall, at the time of enrollment, register last after regular students have registered for classes.

At California State University, Stanislaus, the Senior Scholar Program restricts enrollment to a two course maximum as an undergraduate or graduate student. Qualifying students must have their Senior Scholar fee waiver on file with the Special Academic Programs Coordinator in the Advising Resource Center, prior to registering for classes in order to have their fees calculated properly. This fee waiver must be renewed each term.

Applicants found eligible for the program will be granted the following fee waivers/reductions for each term of attendance at CSU, Stanislaus, provided that funding is available.
