| The CBA’s newest offering, the Executive Master of Business Administration program, began in August 2007 at Tracy. The EMBA program offers a variety of courses in accounting, finance, management, operations, and marketing. The executives enrolled in this first cohort will complete the 36-unit program in 15 months. Some of the all Saturday classes are online sessions which allow students with demanding work schedules to complete the program while maintaining their professional responsibilities. Each cohort of students starts and finishes together, a team approach which allows each student to know exactly what will take place. The program blends theoretical aspects of business with the experience of instructors who have served on the business front lines. The program is in line with the Central Valley business philosophy of bringing businesses and their employees into the Valley and making it worthwhile for them to remain. EMBA applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college. Admission to the program is based on the evaluation of academic and professional portfolios, along with an interview with the EMBA Admission Committee.
The second EMBA cohort will begin April 19, 2008 in partnership with Grupe, Old Republic Title Company, and Partners Real Estate at Stockton. The cost for this cohort is $26,500, which is an all-inclusive fee covering textbooks, supplies, meals, facilities, guest speakers, and other program-related expenses.
The third and fourth EMBA cohorts are in the planning stages. The third cohort will be in Turlock starting August 30, 2008. The fourth cohort will be in Modesto starting in April 2009.
