POSITION:
|
The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor depending onhighest degree and experience. The person appointed to this position will teach in the areas of:Mental Health theory and clinical. Other responsibilities will include: teaching additional coursesas appropriate to specialty, program evaluation and student advising. In addition opportunities exist for interdisciplinary teaching, curriculum development, and research in a holistic wellness to work program. Effective teaching, scholarship, and service to the University are required for retention, promotion, and tenure. This is an academic year appointment.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
|
A Master of Science Degree in Nursing with clinical major or area of concentration in mental health nursing; doctorate preferred; current clinical experience required; current or eligibility for California R.N. licensure; knowledge of and ability to work within a multi-ethnic community; ability to teach in both Pre-licensure and RN to BSN tracks. Applicant must be eligible for teaching approved by the California State Board of Registered Nursing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A potential candidate's consideration will be enhanced by providing evidence of the ability to teach in a second clinical area.
