| Associate Vice President Ted Wendt |
 |
As the Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs, Ted Wendt assists the Provost in attaining our University’s goal of recruiting and retaining highly qualified, and highly diverse, faculty. To that end, the Office of Faculty Affairs manages all aspects of our faculty’s personnel needs. Because professional development plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing faculty teaching, scholarship, and service, this office also coordinates the work of the University’s Faculty Development Center. Finally, because the CSU has entered into a collective bargaining agreement with the California Faculty Association, it is the duty of Faculty Affairs to ensure that we “honor the Contract.” Prior to his arrival at CSU Stanislaus in 2003, Dr. Wendt served as an academic dean at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, Murray State University (KY), and Cameron University (OK). Prior to his career as a dean, he was a member of the Theatre faculty at CSU Chico from 1980 to 1992. In addition to directing over forty plays, musicals, and operas, Dr. Wendt was a very active member of Chico State’s Academic Senate. He also served as the Associate Dean of their College of Humanities & Fine Arts. After serving in the U.S. Army for three years (including a tour in Vietnam), Ted Wendt received his BA from Eastern Kentucky University, his MA from Western Kentucky University, and his Ph.D from Northwestern University. |
