Do you have questions about concerts, comedy, films, outdoor and indoor adventure programs, or special events?  Are you looking for information about existing student organizations, fraternities and sororities or would you like to start your own?  Do you want to get involved in the Associated Students, Inc. (student government)?  Are you interested in starting an intramural team or taking an aerobics class?  All these exciting opportunities and more can be a part of your student life experience. 

The Student Activities Center (SAC) is your first step in exploring these  activities.  The office is located on the first floor of the University Student Union Building, adjacent to the campus bookstore.  SAC houses the Office of Student Leadership and Development, which is responsible for the Student Leadership Program, Student Organizations and Greek Life-Fraternities and Sororities, as well as the Late Night Stanislaus (LNS) program.

Our Mission:
The Office of Student leadership and Development is committed to enhancing the learning environment at CSU Stanislaus. To facilitate this mission we provide students with extracurricular learning and leadership development opportunities. In keeping with this mission, the University Mission and the current goals and priorities of Student Affairs.

Current Student Organizations:
There are over 93 clubs and organizations that are active on campus! The various clubs and organizations range from political, pre-professional, social, fraternities & sororities, cultural, religious, and a great deal more! Some of the membership benefits of being involved with a student-run organization are friendships, mentors, academic & character development, self-governance, etc. Take the time to stop by the office to pick up a list of all the clubs and organizations at our university.

Chartering of Student Organizations:
In order to be recognized as a Student Organization on campus, the prospective organization must complete a charter packet. It is required that the organization obtain the services of at least one faculty member or administrative staff person who will be willing to work with them as an advisor.

Student Activities & Events:
The Office of Student Leadership and Development is committed to enhancing the learning environment at CSU Stanislaus. To facilitate this mission we provide students with co-curricular learning and leadership development opportunities. Some of these programs include: Late Night Stanislaus, The Student Leadership Program, and The Edge Leadership Conference.

Student Leadership & Development Staff:
The Office of Student Leadership and Development houses three full-time staff members: The Director, the Student Leadership Advisor, the Greek Life Program Advisor, and the Administrative Assistant. In addition there are two Student Assistant positions which are: a Front Office Assistant and an Equipment Specialist.

Department Affiliations:
The Student Activities Center is composed of separate divisions, including the main administrative office. Each of these divisions manage numerous programs and services. Please visit the web sites listed in Department Affiliations for additional information.

The Student Organization Handbook holds a copy of all the policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures that all chartered Student Organizations are expected to follow.

Fraternity and Sorority Chapter Standards Program Handbook.pdf
The Fraternity and Sorority Life Chapter Standards Program is based upon the Shared Principles for Greek Life Organizations and the California State Universities. The fraternities and sororities at CSU Stanislaus reflect the dynamic and diverse campus community. Currently, there are twelve international/national and local fraternal organizations. Each chapter must complete the program and turn in all forms to the Office of Student Leadership and Development by Tuesday, May 20, 2008.
