Create a poem about chocolate. Be creative!! On your notebook paper, draw a shape of a chocolate candy- Tootsie Rolls, M&M's, Hershey Kiss, or anything else that you can think of. Write your poem inside your shape.

M&M's!!! Yum!! But for this section you will need to ask for a bag of M&M's. Your job is to graph the colors in your notebook. Then you are to write a sentence about the discovery you made with your graph. You may eat your M&M's only after you have showed me your graph.

Chocolate Treats Logic Puzzle
Copy the question and puzzle chart into your notebook. The chart is 6 columns by 6 rows.
You do not need to copy the introduction.

Introduction
Chocolate Club members Greg, Chuck, Yaun, Brigette, and Manuela brought their favorite treats to the club meeting. The treats were R&Z Candies, Zippetts Bars, Choco Doodles, Coco Creepies, and Happies. Which club member brought what?

Solve this logic puzzle by using the following information. Place an X in the box to match each club member with his/her treat.

Questions/Clues
1. Manuela didn't like the R&Z candies but really couldn't stand Zippetts.
2. Brigette and Greg liked either Choco Doodles, Coco Creepies, or Happies.
3. Chuck liked R&Z candies more than Coco Creepies.
4. Greg liked happies less than Coco Creepies.
5. Brigette loved Coco Creepies.

About those Candy-Covered Chocolates

        Try the following candy test to remove the color                         MATERIALS NEEDED
          coating from the candy and reveal the pigment                                        1. 2 colors of M&M's...6 each...12 total
          (coloring matter) what was used to produce each color.                          2. two plastic saucers
                                                                                                                              3. water
                                                                                                                              4. eye dropper
                                                                                                                              5. two strips of blotting paper

        DIRECTIONS
           1. Place six candies of the same color in each plastic saucer.
           2. Use an eye dropper to add several drops of water to each saucer.
           3. Move the candies around a little in the saucer and turn them over. 
               The color should begin to come off the candies and color the water.
           4. Place a strip of blotting paper in each of the saucers so that one end is 
               resting in the colored water, and observe what happens.

        In your journals, tell me about your observations.

Bring in two different candy wrappers. One of them needs to be a chocolate wrapper. Tape them in your journals. Write down the serving size, calories, total fat, cholesterol, sodium, total carbohydrates, sugars, and protein for each wrapper. Compare your two wrappers and tell me why one is better than the other.
