Each year in May, the CBA honors all high achievers associated with the College. Faculty, students, staff, alumni and business and community leaders are recognized for their contributions to the College, the University, and to the community. The awards honor people who exhibit outstanding service, performance, and success in their business and profession, demonstrate strength of character, and commitment to public service, to the College, the University, and in the community.
Faculty are recognized for outstanding teaching, research, and service. Students are recognized for academic excellence, leadership, and citizenship. Staff are recognized for their support and service to the faculty and students.
Community members are recognized in the following categories: Outstanding Community Leader, Outstanding Business Leader, Outstanding Entrepreneur, Outstanding Emerging Business Leader, Outstanding Alumni, and the CBA Business Advisory Board Outstanding Member. The criteria for selection of these individuals are:
1. Leadership in Business and the Community — Evidence of activities that demonstrate outstanding performance in the recipient’s own business and profession and in the community.
2. Success in Professional and Personal Life — Demonstrated evidence and examples of accomplishments in one’s profession and in personal life.
3. Service to the University — Evidence of service and contribution to CSU Stanislaus, the College of Business Administration, and to higher education.
4. Strength of Character — Demonstration, by examples, of responsibility, respect, commitment to diversity, compassion, honesty, integrity, initiative, perseverance, ethical behavior, and civility.
5. Commitment to Serving the Public Interest — Evidence of acting in the public interest of the community and society.
