Course Title:  International Cinema (formerly “Foreign Films”)     

 

Units:  Four

 

Description:  We will screen and discuss a selection of international films from a variety of countries, considering the ways that they both shape and reflect their cultural origins.  Students will learn about film history and production techniques, at the same time gaining experience analyzing visual images.

 

 

Requirements:  Participation, midterm, final, and three 3-5 page film commentaries.
