LSAMP Stanislaus offers a summer program for STEM majors to enhance students' preparation for math and science courses. During the academic year, selected AMP gateway courses in science and mathematics will be supplemented with enrichment workshops. After their sophomore year, students are eligible for paid internships related to their majors. There are both academic year and summer internships. A student can intern with a faculty research project, a government agency, a research laboratory, an industry, or a business. We will help the students connect with research opportunities in their majors during their junior and senior years.
For active participation in the academic year enrichment workshops and for receiving grades of "B" or better in the associated courses, AMP students can qualify for stipends of $300.00 for each such course. Students in an internship will receive a $600 stipend plus some research expenses. Additional financial aid is available for qualifying students.
