POSITION:

POSITION TITLE & DESCRIPTION:  The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.  The person appointed to this position may teach pre-baccalaureate and undergraduate courses in mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education.  Additional duties will include acting as an academic advisor to mathematics majors and serving on Department committees.  Effective teaching, scholarly or creative productivity, and service to the University are required for retention, promotion, and tenure. This is an academic year appointment.  However, opportunities exist for an additional Summer Session appointment.

MINIMUM

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematics Education is required.

PREFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS:

A potential candidate’s consideration will be enhanced by providing evidence of expertise in Mathematics Education and a strong commitment to teaching.
