| The success of the California State University, Stanislaus Parents Program and Stanislaus Parents Association relies heavily on your participation. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend family events and volunteer when available. Below you will find a list of ways that you can become involved.
Parent/Guest Orientation
Welcome freshman parents and guests to the university by participating in the Parent/Guest Orientation. You can assist with the check in process, participate in a parent panel, or share a few words of advice to other parents. Parent/Guest Orientations 2007 will be held June 5, July 13, August 10 and August 29. Time commitment= 1-2 hours.
Commencement 2007
Help students prepare for their big day by spending an hour or two at the Stanislaus Parents Association hospitality table at graduation. There will be two Commencement ceremonies this year, June 1 and June 2. Time commitment= 1-2 hours.
Family Weekend
Help plan and coordinate our annual Family Weekend sponsored by the Parents Program and the Stanislaus Parents Association. You can volunteer to help plan the event between now and October, provide us with ideas, or help on the day of the event. Time commitment= varies by interest and availability.
Publications
The Stanislaus Parents Association publishes a newsletter every semester, a yearly parent handbook, and sends electronic monthly e-news. Volunteers can write an article or obtain business sponsors for these publications.
Business Support
Individuals can seek business support and donations for family events and publications. Business sponsors can place an ad in a publication, sponsor an event, provide discounts for our families, or donate raffle items for events.
